From January 18 to 20, we will be at Sigep Rimini as the official sponsor of Pizza Without Borders, the World Pizza Championship organized by Ristorazione Italiana Magazine. As part of the 47th edition of one of the most important international events in the food & beverage industry, we will bring our beers to an event that celebrates one of Italy’s most beloved culinary icons: pizza.

Within the ever-growing setting of Sigep, pizza makers from over 30 countries will compete across 18 different categories, offering a complete and contemporary snapshot of the world of pizza, from great classics to more creative interpretations.

For us at Birra Amarcord, the most anticipated moment will be the Pizza & Beer Pairing Competition, scheduled for January 19, 2026, where our beers will take center stage. Competitors will present a classic plated or Neapolitan-style pizza, pairing it with one of our beers: Lager, Pilsner, Red Ale, or Wheat Beer.

To prepare for the challenge, each participant will receive a tasting kit upon registration, including descriptions and one bottle of each beer, allowing them to taste the range and choose the perfect pairing for their pizza.

The competition will also feature a dedicated judge focused exclusively on evaluating the pizza–beer pairing, highlighting how essential balance between flavor, aroma, and structure truly is.

Enhancing the prestige of the championship will be the presence of high-profile Ambassadors and Testimonials, including Gabriele Bonci, Tony Gemignani, Luciano Sorbillo, Errico Porzio, Davide Civitiello, Otto Chang, and many other leading figures from the international pizza scene.
